Uganda will share how they were able to creatively pivot and succeed in this trying time.

Most people can agree Creativity is important, but how do we actually incorporate it into education? Hear from experts leading schools, making policy, funding innovation, and innovating in classrooms on the different challenges and opportunities in bringing more creativity into education.

Learn from creativity expert and founder of the Lifelong Kindergarten group Mitchel Resnick on the many programs and ways they help foster creativity in children.

In this session, Fred Swaniker Founder of the African Leadership Group explores education in Africa and the challenges and opportunities he sees there. Fred is deeply passionate about Africa and believes that the missing ingredient on the continent is good leadership.

What are the skills one will need in 2030? The task of preparing today’s learners for the uncertainties and complexities that arise from that change can be daunting. Many of the jobs that await today’s young people will likely require work that has yet to be invented. Moreover, the problems that communities face — from hunger to environmental destruction to profound inequity — will not be solved by content knowledge alone.

The panel discussion is hosted by Vikas Pota, chairman of the World Education Week, and joined by Shaheen Mistri (Teach for India, KER), Kim Karr (#ICANHELP), Alison Bellwood (World's Largest Lesson) and Gregg Behr (Grable Foundation). 

Mercedes Mateo, Lead Education Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank shares her perspective on the future of education, particularly in Latin America and the Carribean.
