What Inspires The Most Innovative Educators & How Are They Leading A Revolution In Learning? - Kellie Morrill | HundrED WEBday

Join Kellie Morrill, Executive Director of Tiny Trees, and a HundrED Ambassador from the US as she explores the question, "What inspires the most innovative educators, and how are educators leading a revolution in learning?”

This video first appeared on our Facebook page on October 30th, as part of the HundrED WEBday series.

Who is Kellie Morrill?

Kellie Morrill is the Executive Director of Tiny Trees preschool in Washington State. She holds a Masters in Educational Leadership, Graduate Certificate in Prenatal to Third Grade Executive Leadership, and a Bachelor’s in Human Services. Kellie leads the largest outdoor preschool in the United States, with twelve classrooms in nine public parks, serving over 320 children ages three to five. Kellie is deeply committed to equity, community, and has spent her career working to expand access to high quality early learning.

Kellie believes that access to nature is a basic human right, and all children deserve a joyful, muddy childhood. Systemic inequities and colonization have disconnected far too many children from nature-based learning experiences and made preschool inaccessible for many. Research tells us that learning and growing up is best done outdoors, through relationships, play, and exploration.

She is honored to be a part of Tiny Trees and is here for a revolution, where children thrive in environments that promote both academic success and liberation. By partnering with families, communities, and educators, she hopes to co-create the kind of world we want for our children.
