India has 13,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) with 2,00,000+ trainers deployed across the country to train 2,500,000+ students. Most aspiring educators are unable to join teaching professions, because of skill mismatch and most educators do not have access to professional development opportunities to enhance their existing skills but also empower them to remain relevant for future work.
MasterCoach is a professional development, in service program that adopts the power of blended learning and a design framework to strengthen mastery, autonomy and purpose (MAP) of educators in ITIs. MasterCoach combines the power of experiential and digital learning in its design and approach to capacity building of educators. The design facilitates strong peer relationships and sense of community solidarity. All online modules nudge the educator to apply new strategies in their real world. The course flow builds conceptual understanding and real world application, empowering them to make small shifts and experiment in their immediate environments. Access to a course content, toolkits and repository of activity is still commonplace but learning as an online community by encouraging group behaviours on the discussion forum, Whatsapp and Trainer Tribe, a social networking platform - the design puts human relationships at the center of its digital experience.
Over more than a decade, our strategy has impacted 320,000+ students, 5,026 Trainers, 1,090 ITIs, VTIs, and NGOs, across 20 states.
