The objective of Grandomastery is to facilitate a higher rate of adoption of the platform among educators, in order to enhance non-traditional learning through the creation and sharing of creative ideas. This approach enables the incorporation of novel, regularly updated, and thought-provoking topics. Additionally it helps English learners improve coherence and cohesion, vital for passing exams.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Grandomastery's training aims to foster creativity and problem-solving skills by encouraging learners to think outside the box. In this approach, there are no wrong answers, enabling students to overcome language barriers and creative blocks.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Grandomastery Integrative Thinking Training Platform caters to educators looking to foster non-traditional learning through idea creation, competition, and sharing. The program benefits advanced language learners who practice novel and thought-provoking topics. Grandomastery is an excellent tool for English learners, ESL teachers, comedians, commentators, and comedy trainers alike. Grandomastery generates desktop-compatible tasks for screen sharing via Zoom, Skype, projectors, or any other available device. The platform is free and offers 31 activity types that promote creativity and fluency in students. With just two buttons ("Random" and "Cycle"), these tasks can be generated for conversation clubs or separate speaking activities.

How has it been spreading?

During the past three years, Grandomastery has achieved CPD accreditation and ESL Awards, and has begun to issue certificates to its trainers and trainees. The number of tasks available on the platform has increased from seven to 36, with new tasks added almost every month. Grandomastery is frequently updated, and now features a board game version that is highly attractive to trainers and trainees of all ages. Looking forward to the next two to three years, the plan is to translate the platform into at least a dozen modern languages, improve the official Android app and offline version, and publish official guidebooks for trainers.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Individuals or language centers interested in using Grandomastery may apply for a free CPD verified certificate, which can be easily added to a LinkedIn profile with a single click. Furthermore, profiles or websites of language centers or projects may be included in the upcoming "certified experts" and/or "partners" sections for increased visibility and business connectivity, at no cost.

Implementation steps

Using grandomastery.com
Grandomastery.com provides randomized assignments for both English learners and teachers seeking unique and integrative thinking assignments. The platform features two main buttons, "CYCLE" and "RANDOM", and is continually updated. It is an open project that can integrate with video communication tools such as Skype or Zoom. With 36 assignment types and daily updates, there are hundreds of thousands of variations.
Two modes of work with grandomastery.com
The "RANDOM" button, found at the top right, generates a randomly chosen assignment from the 36 available types. Each task is assigned a "weight" coefficient to determine how often it should be repeated. This button is useful for continuous practice, prioritizing the most valuable tasks for each case rather than completing all types. The "CYCLE" button presents all 36 assignments in a random order, with the END OF CYCLE page loading upon completion.
