The problem:
The Chiloé archipelago, located in Chilean Patagonia, is a group of more than 40 islands with a population of over 24 thousand children between 4 and 13 years old. Given its geographical condition and its indigenous heritage - a mixture of Huilliches and Chonos - it has developed a unique culture in the world. Currently, there are no books of children's stories that give an account of the traditions of the sector.
The idea:
Rescue from local authors cultural references typical of the Chiloé culture. In this case, the process of spinning and dyeing wool, one of the most traditional trades in the archipelago.
The solution:
Generate 5,870 donations of the printed book to be delivered to public school children from the 1st to 4th grade levels and to teachers from 163 schools to support the pedagogical work of the text in classrooms.
