About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

The essential skill of storytelling is often overlooked in academic settings. Moreover, students often report that their traditional language classes are boring, teachers are disconnected from entertainment industry experts and industry standards, and students don’t know or understand the pathways to the most modern entertainment careers like film, TV, gaming, and more.

Story Arts brings industry experts and standards into the classroom and gives students practice at real world storytelling challenges in film, TV, gaming, UX design, branding, marketing, acting, and more. Through ready-to-teach courses, students develop practical skills and knowledge for success in modern entertainment industries. By teaching storytelling in all disciplines, Story Arts inspires creativity and critical thinking and makes English classes more engaging for students. Overall, Story Arts prepares students for success in the ever-evolving media landscape. How has it been spreading?

The program has also attracted a diverse audience from 27 US states and 8 countries, and has developed a data-tracking system to capture engagement and receive feedback from users.
